Victory series

This carpet composition was inspired by the victory of the Azerbaijani army. In the center of the carpet composition are three symbolic figures of soldiers standing on each other’s shoulders. As can be seen from their clothes, the soldier standing at the bottom is a symbolic representation of Azerbaijani soldiers who fought in 1918. The soldier standing on their shoulders is a symbolic representation of the Azerbaijani soldiers who fought in 1992. Finally, standing on the shoulders of the soldiers of 1992 above and holding the “soil” in their hands is a symbolic depiction of the soldiers who fought in 2020. This carpet sketch symbolizes that the Azerbaijani army has always fought and that the “Victory” won in 2020 is actually the victory of every Azerbaijani soldier who fought at different times.

The “s” shaped motif in small borders is the “dragon” motif used in Karabakh carpets. This motif carries the meaning of protection and preservation. In the main border, the stylized motif of Haribülbül, the symbol of “Victory”, is used.
