Before I started drawing Xurşidbanu Natəvan’s portrait, I read her ghazals and researched her creativity. The poet, who first wrote poems under the signature “Xurşid”, later took the pseudonym “Natəvan” and created her deep ghazals. Thinking that she created a new “Natəvan” with her ghazals, I created a portrait of Xurshidbanu Natəvan in patterns. These patterns symbolize her ghazals.
